Edgar Burcksen, A.C.E.
EditorEdgar Burcksen, A.C.E. has achieved success in both the Netherlands as well in the United States as a feature film editor. His credits include "500 Nations" (1995), an 8-hour documentary miniseries about Native Americans hosted and produced by Kevin Costner; COLORS STRAIGHT UP (1997), an Academy Award nominated feature documentary on an inner city performing arts program; and IN SEARCH OF PEACE (2000), a documentary about the peace process in Israel for the Simon Wiesenthal Center. Burcksen also teamed with actor/director Jeroen Krabbe on the feature film LEFT LUGGAGE which received four prestigious awards at the Berlin Film Festival in 1998.
Currently, Mr. Burcksen is in post on SCHOOL OF LIFE with Ryan Reynolds and David Paymer for director William Dear (ANGELS IN THE OUTFIELD, HARRY AND THE HENDERSONS).
Edgar Burcksen is a member of A.C.E., the editors Guild and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. In 2001 he became the editor of CinemaEditor, the official magazine of A.C.E. He is fluent in English, German, French and Dutch.
